"I love the photographers ability to capture other-than-touristy images of the city I grew up in. The April shot of SoHo fire escapes makes me happy. As a kid in Brooklyn we would sit out on ours to watch the West Indian parade go by. As a young adult I would be thrilled to have a street-side window with a fire escape to enjoy a cool drink on during a hot summer night. It’s the kind of everyday view that would make me nostalgic if I were to move away from New York."
